It is bad for performance to just leave items all over the ground. Accidentally put your enchanted Diamond pick in? It can be pulled back out before the next item is put in. Trash slot is the safest one, it will hold the last item placed in it till the next item is put in. Instead of dropping items all over the ground you can void them. You could go with Trash Slot, Mikes Dongles, or I think it is called Useful Nullifiers.

The last thing I will mention is a means of voiding items on the go. This nerfing can be adjusted in the configs if desired. Silent's Tools by default will weaken Vanilla crafted tools but you can make tools of the same materials but a slightly different process accessible right away. Similar to Tinker's Construct but dealing with gems that need to be mined up. In the next run I am planning to use Silent's Gems and Silent's Tools. Tinker's Construct also adds similar tools and it takes more work to get but are cheaper on some of the materials. 3x3 mining, whole tree chopping, stuff like that. If you want some expanded tools I am currently using Spark's Tools. It would make sense to have the leaf blocks decay as soon as the tree is chopped down. IMHO this is something they should add to the base game. I do not like that Vanilla leaves the leaf blocks floating in mid-air for days on end. I also have a hard time going without Quick Leaf Decay. On that note Cyclic adds a variety of tools and machines that may be of interest.

It might also work with auto crafters from other mods but Cyclic is done by the same author so there is some built in support. but that can be a bit quirky to get to work. It does not have any auto crafting built in but does have the means of hooking up to the crafters from Cyclic. Once hooked up you can access all of the connected storage from terminals and craft from them. I am using Simple Storage Networks since it does not require any power and suits my needs well enough. I personally like having a storage management system. But that is my personal take, I hate the randomness of Vanilla Enchanting. The second adds an upgraded Enchanting table that lets you pick the enchantments you want on the item. It is not much but it does give you something else you can do. The first gives you XP from harvesting crops. Since Player XP is a little harder to come by I like to add XP from Harvest and Enchanting Plus.

It also has native support for Inventory Tweaks if you use that.Д¬hisel is good for more block textures to work with. It can be worn in the chestplate slot or if you have Baubles also installed it will go in one of the extra slots it adds. Improved Backpacks for more storage on the go. You can set the map to show mob images and it will show the sprite for the Pokemon if you want. Journey Map has specific support for Pixelmon. It just adds a compass that can search and point you to the biomes you are looking for. Iron Chests are good for bigger storage in smaller space at a cost of resources. By default they will naturally spawn in villages as well and cost player XP to use. Gives you a means of teleporting to locations you set one up in.
